Mathews is a 16-year corporate, consumer and marketing veteran who previously held the managing director role at boutique agency Fulford PR, which she joined after acquisition of her own firm. Her experience includes work with more than 50 consumer and lifestyle brands including Qantas, Nike, Lego, and Disney. And before arriving in Singapore eight years ago Mathews worked in Australia and the Middle East.
MSLGROUP, part of the Publicis network, sees the appointment as key to buildings its senior bench to provide insight-based communications. According to the company Mathews will oversee communications strategies across 10 markets for a large global FMCG company, and will lead agency teams in developing and effecting marketing communications strategy and campaigns for Singapore-based clients. Potential business sectors include spirits, cable TV content, travel and leisure sectors.

Mathews also recently served for two years as the Asia-Pacific president of IPREX, a $200 million network of communications agencies with 1,500 staff and 100+ offices worldwide.
