The agency’s founding client is VITL, a health supplement supplier.

Lifestyle journalist Jordan Paramour has been appointed as media consultant for Switched On, which the agency said will offer "a full spectrum of PR services".

Steer joined Hope&Glory when the agency launched three years ago and Libin was at House PR for three-and-a-half years. Between them their clients spanned the travel, entertainment, technology and food and drink sectors, including O2, HTC, Meantime Brewing, Spice Market, Strictly Come Dancing Live, restaurant reservation service OpenTable, Cointreau, Egmont Publishing and the Bermuda Department of Tourism.

Steer said: "We think there’s a gap for a straight-talking, creative agency with a penchant for solid publicity.

"People buy people. They also buy great ideas. If we can blend that with a big dose of old-fashioned media relations, then we’re confident we’ll have a winning formula. We’ve been busy building an exciting pipeline of projects and we’re looking forward to getting our hands dirty."
