The role is a new position within the LTA as part of its aim to focus on consumer PR.
Best will be responsible for bringing the LTA’s summer tournament season to a broader public audience and promoting its series of mass participation events such as The Great British Tennis Weekends.
Before working at Popcorn, Best worked at H+K Strategies and The Red Consultancy. She will also sit on the PRCA council for 2015.
She has experience working on a range of clients including IHG, Adidas, BMW, Samsung, Greene King and the Mayor's Fund for London.
LTA marketing and comms director Alex Mawer said: "We are delighted to welcome Lauren to the team and her consumer PR experience and background will strengthen our offering, as we continue to develop our PR output. An experienced team has been put in place and we will all be working hard to deliver in what will be a successful period for the organisation."
