PLMR’s Global Communications Alliance has partners in 15 countries, including Agenda Global in the US, Wilkinson Group in Australia and Bluesky Strategy Group in Canada.
The network also has agencies across Europe, including the YoungNetwork Group, which has offices in Portugal as well as Dubai and Angola.
Affaires Publiques Consultants will be the network’s representative in France and Belgium while PLMR will represent England and Scotland.
PLMR will take on secretariat duties for the network for the first year before rotating it to other members. The agency said the new network would bring benefits to member agencies and their clients including easier access to international markets and local expertise, as well as the ability to support clients across several jurisdictions.
Kevin Craig, managing director of PLMR, said: "Today is the culmination of several months’ hard work, and we are grateful for the contributions made by all of our partners as we have refined our ideas of what the network should be.
"In the eight years since I founded the business, we’ve been very lucky to have worked with some exceptionally talented agencies around the world, and so it made sense to formalise this relationship by establishing the GCA. Communications agencies do not have to be multinational conglomerates to have a truly global impact."
