Gerberding changes roles at Merck; Murphy joins Deezer, GCI Health promotes Lauer.

KENILWORTH, NJ: Merck has named Dr. Julie Gerberding as EVP for strategic communications, global public policy, and population health, effective on Monday. She was most recently president of Merck Vaccines.

SAN FRANCISCO: Digital music streaming service Deezer has appointed Beth Murphy as CMO. She will lead its global brand, along with product marketing and management, acquisition, engagement, and US customer service. Murphy was previously CMO and EVP of product at Zinio.

NEW YORK: GCI Health has promoted Becky Lauer to EVP. She was previously leader of the firm’s media relations team, which she will continue to oversee.

SAN FRANCISCO: Lewis PR has hired Matt Robbins as director of market insight and research. He previously worked at InfoComm, where he led research and analysis services. Robbins will be based in Washington, DC, and report to SVP Ian Lipner.

FORT LEE, NJ: Steinreich Communications Group has hired Ariella Steinreich as media relations director. She was most recently a senior associate at Burson-Marsteller.

ANNAPOLIS JUNCTION, MD: Colfax has named Terry Ross as VP of investor relations, reporting to Scott Brannan, SVP and CFO. He will be responsible for IR initiatives, including quarterly results, corporate announcements, investor outreach, and marketing.

IRVINE, CA: Online automotive service provider Autobytel has brought on Liolios Group to lead a strategic investor relations and financial communications program. The firm will work with Autobytel on messaging and corporate positioning and introduce it to key financial influencers.

LOS ANGELES: Autris, a maker and distributor of nitrogen generators, has hired Market Force IR. The firm will work to raise its visibility, strengthen relationships with the investment community, and provide strategic corporate development advice.
