Publicis Groupe CEO Maurice Lévy’s holiday greeting took a comical – and interactive – turn this year, doubling as a game in which smartphone users can pick out stuffed animals positioned around his virtual office.
Spoiler alert: things almost go awry when the game’s carnival claw grabs Lévy’s beloved candy jar.
There’s a charitable element to the greeting, as well, with the Paris-based holding company making a donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation as part of the initiative.
Some quick stats on the interactive video from Publicis:
- 290 sub videos are part of the interactive experience;
- Engineering and testing the carnival claw took a month;
- Publicis claims it is the first YouTube game controlled by a mobile or tablet device, which was a technology developed by France’s DigitasLBi.
