The Design Council was selected by the European Commission to lead a consortium and deliver a three-year project called Design for Europe.
The project aims to raise awareness of how design-driven innovation increases efficiency in public services and drives private-sector growth.
The campaign to promote Design for Europe is Claremont’s first international brief and will be delivered across 28 member states in the EU.
The contract for promoting the project is in three parts, which could see Claremont working with the Design Council for up to three years.
Ben Caspersz, managing director of Claremont, said: "Design for Europe has the potential to boost business performance across the continent and improve everyday life for millions of European citizens. It’s great for the agency and a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference."
Claire Fennelow of the Design Council said Claremont would deliver a vital component of the project by running the communications for it across Europe.
