The 12-month brief, which covers both traditional and social media relations, was issued by the National Caravan Council (NCC), the trade body for the UK tourer, motorhome, holiday home and park home industries.

Capella is tasked with delivering a campaign to raise awareness of the benefits of caravans and motorhomes and to make them more appealing to all demographics. The campaign, titled Freedom to Go, will focus on the lifestyle advantages to encourage new users.

Gareth Thomas, Capella founder, said: "Every year millions of people get a taste of the freedom a touring holiday provides. Yet, the sector has at times received unfair press. We’re looking forward to reversing this by showcasing the beautiful British destinations and unique adventures that touring holidays make possible."

Jenny Summers, group marketing director at NCC, said: "We're really pleased to welcome Capella to the team. It showed a really deep understanding of our industry’s business objectives and has created a set of elegantly integrated ideas to help us achieve these."
