Palm will work on a campaign to tell the story of founders John and Claire Brumby who appeared on Dragons' Den earlier this year looking for an investment for their product. The couple did not secure enough capital despite receiving an offer from Duncan Bannatyne, and later obtained finance from Granary Investments.
The campaign will promote the vegan and vegetarian snack as a healthier alternative to traditional crisps, tapping into the ‘Free From’ category, with less fat and fewer calories than other products.
Liam Keogh, director at Palm PR, said: "Scrubbys has ambitious plans to bring change to the UK crisp category and wider snacks market by providing a product that offers a healthier option for consumers while still tasting great.
"Palm PR has been appointed to help communicate this offering and provide a substantial media presence for the brand, supporting sales with its new national retailers."
Claire Brumby, co-founder of Scrubbys, said: "We chose Palm PR as we feel that it’s an agency at the very top of its game. The team really understand the Scrubbys brand, vision and ambitions, we are delighted to be working with them."
