NEW YORK: Cohn & Wolfe has named Kristie Kuhl and Maura Bergen to EVP roles in its US healthcare practice.
Reporting to MDs Jillian Janaczek and Lisa Talbot, Kuhl and Bergen will focus on client relationships and respiratory product launches, the firm said in a statement.
"We needed more leadership bench strength in terms of offering strategic council, building relationships at the senior level, and building the practice, as well," said Jim Joseph, Cohn & Wolfe president for North America. He added that the firm may expand their roles in the future.
Joseph said the new EVPs’ multi-disciplinary backgrounds that are "deeply rooted in healthcare" were part of the draw, and noted that they fit well with the company’s culture. Both will manage multi-layer teams at the firm.
Previously, Kuhl worked at Makovsky as EVP and deputy practice leader during a career of more than 13 years at the firm.
Bergen previously served as MD at Twist Marketing, a W2O company, and was director of public relations at Novartis. She has also worked at Ketchum and Porter Novelli, according to her LinkedIn account.
