SUNNYVALE, CA: Mike Manuel, SVP at Porter Novelli subsidiary Voce Communications, is departing the firm after more than a decade to join the consumer marketing team at LinkedIn.
Manuel’s last day at Voce is Wednesday, he noted in a blog post published on LinkedIn. While he did not disclose his new title at the social media company, he said in the post that he will "be helping to steer content marketing and social media efforts for LinkedIn’s consumer marketing team."
"It’s an incredible opportunity to work with people I've long admired and respected, and to do so for a brand I believe has a truly standout purpose and vision," Manuel wrote.
Manuel was not immediately available for further comment.
While at Voce, which he joined in 2002, Manuel helped brands including LinkedIn, Comcast, Disney, Intel, and PlayStation with social media, digital, and content marketing. Most recently he worked in the group managing PNConnect, a content-creation and brand-publishing service launched by Voce and Porter last year.
Porter acquired Voce in 2011.
Richard Cline, Voce president and Porter senior partner and digital practice leader, said the firm will look to hire someone with a similar skill set after Manuel’s departure.
Before Voce, Manuel was a senior associate at Walt & Company, according to his LinkedIn profile.
