CHICAGO: ASGK Public Strategies has acquired DevinePR as it brings on agency founder Maura Devine as an MD. Prior to serving as founding partner and president of DevinePR, Devine was an MD at Hill & Knowlton and worked as a TV journalist.

WASHINGTON: Airline trade organization Airlines for America has named Melanie Hinton as MD for airline industry PR and communications. She most recently served as senior communications manager for the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International. Hinton will start in the role on January 5, 2015, overseeing airline industry and operations communications and working with third-party suppliers. She will report to Jean Medina, SVP for communications.

NEW YORK: Marina Maher Communications has named Kim Stokes, previously MD, as deputy director of digital integration, a newly created role at the firm. She is overseeing the agency’s digital and social media practice within its Creative Catalyst Group.

BOSTON: 360 Public Relations has hired Melanie Nayer as VP of digital strategy. A veteran of SapientNitro, Nayer will be based in 360 PR’s Boston office and collaborate with staffers in New York, San Francisco, and Washington, DC.

WINNIPEG, MANITOBA: Dash is switching its emphasis from a social media firm to a "digital + PR agency," it said in a statement. With a team of 20 staffers, Dash’s client roster includes the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, CityTV, and Variety Children’s Charity.
