MRM, which has held the account for seven years, has been invited to pitch alongside a shortlist of other agencies.
In a statement, John Lewis said: "We can confirm that John Lewis is putting PR support for John Lewis Financial Services out to tender. We have worked with our current agency, MRM, for seven years, and it is involved in this process and has been invited to pitch alongside other shortlisted agencies."
In June, John Lewis announced that it had appointed marketing agency Lida to the direct marketing account for its Financial Services arm following a competitive pitch.
