Kaper appointed by Unilever to run global Maille account

Kaper has won a three-way pitch to lead the global PR for Unilever's French mustard brand Maille.

Kaper will work alongside Maille’s global advertising agency, adam&eveDDB, as Unilever plans an expansion of the brand across key markets around the world.

Kaper managed the launch of Maille’s first international boutique in London’s Piccadilly last year, with a second due to open in New York later this year.

The agency has been working on Maille’s UK account since 2011.

David Lowes, senior vice-president, dressings, Unilever, said: "Maille is a jewel of a brand for which we have exciting global expansion plans. We are delighted to be working with Kaper globally to create the experiences, engagement and exclusivity befitting a premium food proposition."

Meanwhile it is understood that Unilever is also looking for a global PR agency for its spreads business, which includes key brand Flora.
