NEW YORK: Former Hill+Knowlton US healthcare practice leader Susan Thiele has joined inVentiv Health as EVP of Chamberlain Healthcare PR and Shared Voice PR.
Thiele previously served in an SVP role at Chamberlain Healthcare from 2003 to 2005, according to her LinkedIn account. In her new position, she will report to Chamberlain MD Michelle Gross and focus on counseling clients and new business.
"One area of focus will be small-to-mid-sized companies that often have a different mix of challenges. These companies often need a strong partner, one who can provide integrated commercialization and strategic communications support," she said, via email.
Lisa Stockman, president of PR and medcomms at inVentiv Health, confirmed Thiele’s role is new, adding that the firm was in touch with her before Samantha Cranko left Shared Voice PR to join Golin late last month.
Thiele served in various leadership roles at H+K, including SVP, healthcare lead for the US and New York, and most recently director of New York operations, according to her LinkedIn account. She was also SVP and group head at both Edelman and Ketchum and worked at Ruder Finn early in her career.
Brian Grancagnolo is stepping in for Thiele at H+K as New York healthcare practice director in the interim.
This story was updated on November 24 with information about Thiele's replacement at H+K and to correct Stockman's title.
