ATLANTA: Calysto Communications has launched a new wholly owned subsidiary, Avante, to focus on smaller-budget clients.
Kristine Bennett, previously chief client services officer and EVP at Calysto, will take the helm at the standalone company.
Avante’s clientele will hail from the same industries as Calysto’s, such as mobile, wireless, and telecom, but with a monthly activity budget coming in under $4,000, according to a press release. The firm will also "enable companies to start small and grow at their own pace," the release states.
Bennett said taking on smaller accounts will allow Avante to offer a very structured and simple approach to client work, with two to three staffers handling each piece of business.
"We’re definitely a niche in regard to the companies out there who need help from an agency for PR, social, or content within their budgetary needs," she added.
Any challenges that may come with a budget that size can be solved by "really paying attention to what [the clients’] goals are," explained Bennett.
The idea for Avante came from an increase in clients needing services with budget restrictions, said Bennett.
"You have to be mindful of what the client is looking for in order to stay within that budget," she said. "Spinning off and specializing within that area will help keep the costs down."
Bennett said she will continue collaborating with Laura Borgstede, Calysto CEO. The pair has worked together for 14 years, according to the release.
The new Avante office in Atlanta is comprised of only two staffers at the moment, but will continue to grow, added Bennett.
