PR for the group was previously handled by consultants Anne-Marie Hansen, however rapid expansion of the group’s UK business meant a fully integrated agency was needed.
KTA will focus on increasing awareness of the group’s brand amongst key leisure travellers as well as raising the profile of its specialist business areas, Flight Centre First and Business, Round The World Experts, Flight Centre Business Travel and Gapyear. The account will be headed up by Laura Smith.
KTA managing director Gail Palmer, said: "Flight Centre UK is one of the world’s largest and most successful independent travel retailers and we look forward to working closely with the group to further strengthen the brand’s positioning in the UK market."
Chris Galanty, managing director Flight Centre Group UK and South Africa, added: "We are embarking on this relationship with KTA to continue to raise our profile amongst discerning and savvy travellers in the UK. We have tasked the agency with boosting the group’s credibility and to drive awareness of new marketing initiatives across the four specialist brands planned for the forthcoming year."
