TORONTO: Former Edelman Midwest president Rick Murray has joined National Public Relations as managing partner of its Toronto office and the firm’s chief digital strategist.
He will be responsible for growing the Toronto office’s business and expanding its service offerings, as well as developing an agency-wide social and digital strategy. Murray will also oversee Sonic Boom, National’s digital marketing subsidiary, working with Sonic Boom MD Norm Melamed.
At Edelman, Murray had also served as president of Edelman Digital and EVP for diversified services. He has also worked at GolinHarris, according to his LinkedIn account.
After leaving Edelman this spring, he founded Rick Murray + Friends.
