The former has added responsibility for PR to the brand strategy, advertising, retail and digital brief it awarded earlier this year to retail specialist Portas after a competitive pitch.
Ruth Benford, executive director of marketing for Goldsmiths, said: "Our decision to extend its remit enables it to be true a brand guardian as we continue on our mission to evolve into a luxury brand on the high street."
David Morris, meanwhile, has appointed Dragon Associates. It has just two outlets in the UK compared with Goldsmiths’ three-figure estate but is also present in the Middle East and Asia.
The three-year-old Mayfair-based agency, which is located close to the jeweller’s Bond Street branch, will work alongside David Morris’ in-house PR team, Tilly Harrison and Phoebe Morris.
The account will be headed up by Nick Barrington-Wells, who joined Dragon Associates last month from the Langham Hotel.
Jeremy Morris, MD of the jewellery business and son of the founder, said: "Our goal is to develop our brand and grow the business and I look forward to Dragon Associates’ help in achieving this outcome."
