Blue Rubicon was appointed by the company back in 2007 to develop a community programme. At the time the agency designed a campaign to raise awareness in schools about the water cycle and climate change.
Yorkshire Water confirmed that Blue Rubicon is one of the 12 agencies it has asked to pitch for this latest initiative. Currently there are no plans to invite other agencies to pitch.
The process is being overseen by community and education adviser Anne Reed.
A Yorkshire Water spokesperson said: "We have invited 12 agencies to pitch to us as we look to develop a new award-winning community engagement campaign in 2015/16."
