Customers in the Aberystwyth store noticed that the wall artwork contained one sentence left unfinished, reading: "Nourishing the human spirit... one person, one cup and," while a description of a particular coffee blend was described as "light of body and taste our coffee to most easy to drink".

In a statement Starbucks said: "Despite checks on our Welsh language artwork, a couple of rogue typos have been spotted. We’re going to correct these as soon as possible."
"We try to create a warm welcoming environment for everyone to enjoy and this works best when we reflect the local culture and language in our store designs. We are really proud of our first dual-language menu board in Welsh and English in our Aberystwyth store."
