NEW YORK: PRWeek’s parent company Haymarket has launched its advertising, media, and marketing brand Campaign in the US.

Campaign has long been the bible of the creative industries in the UK and Asia, and is now setting up a digital community for US marketing professionals.

Content on the new site will be generated and curated by journalists, but will also encompass contributions from leaders in the advertising and creative industries around the world.

The heart of the Campaign US community will be executives responsible for creative ideas across the advertising, media and marketing disciplines, but the site will also engage those who execute the ideas.

Initial leaders featured on Campaign US will include McGarryBowen MD Ida Rezvani, WPP CEO Martin Sorrell, Unilever CMO Keith Weed, AKQA founder Ajaz Ahmed, Starcom MediaVest Group’s global CEO Laura Desmond, and BBDO Worldwide CEO Andrew Robertson.

Claire Beale is global editor-in-chief of Campaign and overseeing the launch of the brand in the US.

"The very best thing about our industry is the brilliant talent it attracts, the people. Campaign US is for, about and created by those people," said Beale. "Our site is a place to showcase inspiring work, debate issues, share opinions, learn from the best in the business."

Campaign first launched in London, England as a print magazine in 1968 and has grown to become the world’s premier platform for showcasing creative excellence in advertising, media and marketing. Since then, its reach has extended to Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
