The campaign, led by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS), aims to inspire and support small businesses.
The account was won following a competitive pitch against two other agencies on the Crown Commercial Services PR roster, of which SKV Communications is a part.
The agencies will work together to drive uptake of a range of products and services that the Government offers to support small businesses, on areas including exporting to new markets and alternatives to bank finance.
SKV and Kindred will report to the BIS and Department for UK Trade and Investment, which have joint responsibility for the campaign.
Jo Simmons, head of campaigns at BIS, said: "We were impressed with the agencies’ strategic approach, creative ideas and expertise, which will help us to ensure that small businesses are making the most of the support on offer to them."
Geraldine Vesey, director at Manchester-based SKV, said: "We chose to partner with Kindred as the agency has an unparalleled track record in delivering initiatives that motivate businesses to act, which perfectly complements our own expertise in activating national campaigns through regional media and other channels."
