Everton FC comms head quits after 15 years at club

Everton Football Club's head of comms Mark Rowan is moving on this week after more than 15 years working at the club.

Rowan, who joined Everton in 1999 as assistant comms manager, is taking some time out to decide his next career move.

He said in a farewell email to media contacts: "It has been an absolute pleasure working with you all over this period and I wish you all the very best for the future. I would also like to thank you and your respective organisations for the support you have afforded myself, my team and the club in its various guises throughout this time."
The club will begin recruiting a replacement in the coming weeks, with Scott McLeod filling the role in the interim.
