In 1998, former diplomat Junie del Mundo organized EON’s first project out of his fledgling company’s studio-type office with just 3 people to help him.
What differentiates del Mundo from other PR professionals is how he injects a sense of country and community into his work. "You cannot take the Philippines out of our work," he tells colleagues; reminding them that EON’s most valuable works are those that will benefit the country. For del Mundo, EON will continue to redefine communications. "Our role is to leverage on the power of communication to encourage people and organizations to agree on making things happen in ways that address the needs of people and the society."
Sixteen years later, del Mundo still presides over the same company, now staffed with over 70 experts, as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Today, EON ranks as one of the top 250 PR firms globally, for the second year in a row according to reports. It is the only stakeholder relations firm in the Philippines and is the affiliate of global PR firm Edelman.
