Sungbong Lee, 57, is the president and CEO of Prain Global Inc. Since he assumed the leadership position of Korea’s largest independent PR firm in 2008, he has emphasized the globalization of the firm and has made strategic relationships with PR agencies in the United States and Asia, and has successfully accomplished numerous overseas projects assigned by local clients.
Founded in 2000, Prain is Korea’s leading PR firm with 170 full-time employees. The company won the "Campaign of the Year" award from the Asia-Pacific PR Awards 2010 for its campaign "Blue Butterfly." In 2011 the company established a new division, Prain Talented People Caring, to service celebrities and enhance audience experiences with movie and musical marketing. Prain was engaged for media management during the Pastoral Visit of Pope Francis to Korea in August 2014.
Lee is a graduate of Harvard University’s Kenney School of Government. He has translated key industry books into Korean: "The End of Advertising As We Know It," "The Power of Corporate Communications," and "Taking Heat – The President, The Press and My Years in the White House." He is a member of PR advisory board of the Financial Supervisory Service of Korea.
