Clarion Communications hired for Valspar paint UK product launch

US-based Valspar paint has appointed Clarion Communications ahead of the national rollout of its products in all B&Q stores in 2015.

The agency won the retained account following a three-way pitch for the paint brand, which is set to launch in the UK next year. The company boasts 2.2 million different colour shades.

The PR programme will span UK consumer and crisis PR with a focus on educating consumers on the qualities of the paint such as ease of application and durability.

Gary Freemantle, CEO of Clarion Communications, said: "Our campaign will inspire people to express themselves with colour."
