NEW YORK: Edelman has named Stephanie Lvovich as global chair of its public affairs practice, effective October 13.
Lvovich will lead the firm’s global public affairs practice, which includes more than 275 staffers, and report to Ben Boyd, president of practices, sectors and offerings. Lvovich will be based in London.
Edelman appointed Katie Burke as chair of its global public affairs practice last June. She left the firm to join Nielsen as its EVP of marketing and communications in January.
Previously, she worked at APCO Worldwide as executive director and global chair of the food and consumer products practice, which she helped to create and later managed. Lvovich also oversaw international accounts for food and consumer products companies such as Coca-Cola, Mead Johnson Nutrition, Mars, and SABMiller. She also helped to build and managed APCO’s business development function in Europe, India, and the Middle East, according to a statement from Edelman.
Lvovich was also MD for European Union public affairs at Citigate Global Consulting Group and held positions at European Public Policy Advisors and the PBN Company.
Edelman also named Matt Wagner, GM in its Washington, DC, office and senior strategist in its global energy practice, as US regional chair for public affairs. He will lead efforts to expand Edelman’s capabilities in integrated advocacy campaigns, including data analytics, micro-targeting, and grassroots mobilization. Wagner will stay in Washington.
Wagner has spent the past eight years as a senior strategist in Edelman’s global energy sector.
