Christian Schubert, 50, is vice president corporate affairs Asia Pacific for BASF. Supporting the implementation of BASF’s "We create chemistry" strategy, he has led the Asia Pacific communications team towards a stronger focus on corporate affairs in order to strengthen the engagement with key stakeholders across the region.

Schubert was formerly Vice President Corporate Communications BASF Group. Before joining BASF, Schubert worked as Head of Media Relations for DaimlerChrysler Services. He started his professional career in the German Foreign Office.

Schubert, a German national, has lived in Hong Kong for six years. He holds a Master’s Degree from the Technical University Berlin, Germany, in Management and Engineering and a Master’s Degree from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ, USA, in Management.
