London-based Sauce and Edinburgh-based Taste have teamed up to share sector expertise and knowledge as well as providing support in each other’s markets.
The arrangement has been made to allow the agencies to expand into the new markets, with the potential to exchange contacts, second staff and work together on clients.
Sauce founder Jo Barnes said partnering with the agency’s "Scottish equivalent" was "a natural progression in the growth of the company".
She said that London agencies often struggled to gain traction with the Scottish press and that Sauce would benefit from Taste’s contacts, while there were also commercial opportunities for both agencies from working together on clients.
She added that there was the potential for Sauce to form similar partnerships to expand into markets such as New York or Singapore.
Sauce is a lifestyle agency that specialises in restaurants, hotels and food and drink, with clients including Jason Atherton and The Ritz.
Taste launched three years ago and now has more than 20 clients including some of Scotland’s biggest food and drink brands.
