Factual television producer Pan Media founder Wintle is the latest addition to the agency's roster of crisis comms consultants, which includes a number of former BBC and CNBC journalists.

Curtin&Co's new brand, which launches today, is named Crisis Communications and will see the agency’s crisis and reputation portfolio move to a dedicated team.

The company will be a subsidiary of Curtin&Co, with a separate P&L internally, and the agency will continue its crisis work with existing clients including Nestle, EDF, Dong Energy and Sisscom.

"We have some unique products we can sell into the marketplace and we want to get them out there," said Curtin&Co founder Tom Curtin.

He added that the company has recruited a number of consultants to the team including former broadcast journalists, media advisers and crisis comms strategists.

Wintle was the most recent hire and Curtin said the nine-strong agency is currently recruiting to add another consultant to its roster.
