Hume Brophy snaps up FTI's Simon Elliott to lead international expansion

FTI MD Simon Elliott has been hired by Hume Brophy to lead its new international corporate practice.

Starting next month, Elliott will be tasked with growing a corporate comms offer across the agency’s European and South East Asian network.

The move follows nearly nine years at FTI Consulting – formerly Financial Dynamics – and two decades working in the PR and public affairs industry.

Referencing links with "strategic hubs" in Dublin, London, Brussels, Paris and Singapore, Hume Brophy’s CEO Conall McDevitt said:

"Simon’s appointment will significantly strengthen our offer across our existing territories and will allow us to expand into new ones."

Elliott plans to recruit sector specialists into the new practice with a particular focus on the agency specialisms of aerospace and defence, financial services, energy and property communications.

He said: "Hume Brophy has one of the strongest track records in the markets where it has a presence and is clearly a business destined for even greater success.

"The opportunity to participate in a global leadership role in the next stage of its growth is clearly a unique opportunity to which I am very much looking forward."

FTI has brought in Alex Deane from Weber Shandwick to build up its public affairs offering as MD.
