Lidl picks Smarts Communicate to support Northern Ireland expansion

Lidl has appointed Smarts Communicate as its Northern Irish agency as it plans to expand within the country.

Lidl has briefed Smarts Communicate to deliver its local message and position it as a leading and trusted Northern Ireland brand. 

The Belfast-based agency won the retained account through a pitch and has been tasked with delivering a communications programme comprising PR, marketing and events.

Paul Gibson, sales operations executive, Lidl Northern Ireland said: "We began our relationship with Smarts some eight years ago when Lidl was relatively new to the marketplace.

"Since that time just like Smarts, Lidl too has undergone a considerable transformation in Northern Ireland and we really believe that Smarts’ creative, strategic thinking and deep understanding of the direction our brand is taking will deliver standout communications."
