Niall McKinney, chief executive and founder of The Knowledge Engineers, and Antje Derks, jobs, careers and content editor at PRWeek, explained how many agencies have got to a point where, in order to move forward, they need to transform and integrate digital into their organisation’s DNA.

The changes need to be rapid or agencies risk losing out on talent, technology and money on the bottom line, McKinney and Derks told their audience of around 30 agencies.

The agencies heard how to integrate digital internally and to streamline processes across multiple departments, as well as how to encourage and retain the best digital talent.

McKinney demonstrated how the right training can bridge the digital skills shortage, while Derks explained the challenges of recruiting a strong digital cohort and how HR departments must tailor their processes to the position and candidate in order to succeed.
