NEW YORK: NYU Langone Medical Center, home to New York University’s school of medicine, has named FleishmanHillard as its AOR.
The agency will be responsible for supporting ongoing PR and strategic counsel, and raising the profile of NYU Langone’s centers of excellence, both internationally and at an institutional level, according to a statement from the firm.
Fleishman is also charged with identifying communications opportunities for the Manhattan-based medical center that will support its efforts in digital, marketing, and advertising. These will include both traditional media relations and emerging communications channels, such as social media.
Fleishman won the business at the end of July, after a competitive pitch against undisclosed agencies. According to a statement, the firm was selected not only because of its expertise in healthcare, but also its experience in other industries.
This is the second recent account win for Fleishman in the healthcare sector. Last month, it was awarded a contract extension from the Illinois Department of Insurance worth nearly $25.6 million to promote the state’s health-insurance marketplace.
Representatives from NYU Langone and Fleishman could not be immediately reached for comment.
