Netflix can lay solid claim to having a key role in ushering in the golden age of TV, having funded many stunning original content series, including the critically acclaimed House of Cards and Orange is the New Black. On the flip side, by showing these TV series in one go it can also be blamed (or praised) for the binge-viewing phenomenon, shaking the linear TV industry to its core.
