Ecover hands Lexis European work ahead of major relaunch

Cleaning brand Ecover has handed Lexis a new European brief as it prepares a relaunch focused on convincing consumers its eco-friendliness does not compromise on quality.

Lexis triumphed in a pitch to inform the PR and social strategy and lead idea development across markets for the brand, which makes ecologically friendly cleaning products. 

The agency will have a particular focus on UK, Benelux, Germany, France and Switzerland but the hire will not affect Ecover's relationship with existing agencies, including Bray Leino in the UK.

Lexis associate director Catherine Miller explained that the year-long project brief was focused on a major rebrand taking place early next year.

"There will be a new logo and packaging, with a campaign that looks to place a greater focus on efficacy. The message is our products are environmentally friendly but they work really well too, and consumers no longer need to make a compromise."

The rebrand has also led to the recent appointment of media agency Essence and digital agency Recipe, with existing advertising agency KesselsKramer also working on the campaign.
