Although the awards ceremony itself is to take place in Paris in October the results were announced this week. MSLGroup had a winning run at the IBA this week. It’s Asian offices won 16 of the 17 ‘Stevies’, as the awards are popularly called.

MSLGroup in Asia won the Gold for the marketing campaign of the Year; regional events and observance PR Campaign of the Year; regional marketing – consumer products category; and tourism marketing campaign of the year. The only Gold won by the group outside Asia was for the internal communications PR campaign of the year which went to MSLGroup New York.
Other notable Stevie winners out of Asia include Weber Shandwick, whose China team won the Gold as Asian PR agency of the year and regional reputation/brand management PR campaign of the year and Asian public service communications campaign of the year. Edelman Indonesia’s CEO Stephen Lock won the executive of the year in the advertising, marketing and PR industry.
The Stevie Awards was created in 2002 to honor and generate public recognition of the achievements and positive contributions of organisations and working professionals worldwide. It recognises best practices in various business disciplines, including Communications/PR and Marketing. More than 3,500 nominations from more than 60 nations were submitted this year.
