Heineken UK is in early-stage talks over the work and is expected to have an agency in place for the start of autumn.

The brief is understood to run for an initial six-month period. A spokesman for the company declined to describe the nature of the work but stated the company had "identified a need for support around stakeholder engagement across the broad external comms piece".

In recent years, Heineken UK has participated in the Business in the Community Corporate Responsibility Index, which seeks to measure the impact of a business on the community, environment, workplace and marketplace, and in the Investors Carbon Disclosure Project, which gauges carbon footprint reduction activities.

The new brief will not impact on Heineken UK’s recently established relationships with TVC, Cow PR, TLG (now part of FTI Consulting) or Pendomer
