Despite being one of the youngest honorees to make it into this year’s list, Andrew Bleeker already has some major achievements under his belt, helping to get President Barack Obama re-elected among them. Though only 28, colleagues are quick to say, "There’s no one more experienced than Andrew in political online marketing. His impressive digital repertoire speaks volumes."
Bleeker, who was a senior strategist in the Obama 2012 campaign, is global digital practice leader at Hill+Knowlton Strategies. He serves as a senior adviser to Fortune 100 clients around the world and helps ensure his firm remains at the forefront of this fast-evolving area of communications. Prior to joining H+K, he was president and founder of Bully Pulpit Interactive. During his time there, he provided online marketing strategy for clients in both the public and private sectors, including the World Food Programme, Livestrong, the Democratic National Committee, and the Alliance for Climate Protection. Other key achievements include helping build the Change.gov website and serving as the new-media director for the presidential inaugural committee.
For Obama 2012, Bleeker worked on both paid media and digital strategy. During the 2008 election, he was director of online marketing for Obama for America, where he oversaw a groundbreaking political online marketing operation. He was responsible for all aspects of online marketing for the campaign and the Democratic National Committee, including unprecedented programs for list building, donor acquisition, voter registration, early voting, messaging, and getting out the vote. Additionally, he managed SEO and was a senior adviser for all online communications and programs.
