Leslie Schrader’s commitment to client service sets her apart from the pack. With more than 15 years of PR agency experience, Schrader’s career is characterized by hands-on leadership of multiple awardwinning consumer health campaigns for Fortune 500 companies.
Schrader started out at Porter Novelli and went on to APCO Worldwide before joining Ketchum in 2001. In her current role, she oversees the day-to-day operations of Well-Connected, a dedicated health specialty practice she helped establish in response to the growing health and well-being trend. Well-Connected quickly established a client list of big pharmaceutical, over-thecounter, and household-name brands. It also works with some of Ketchum’s biggest clients, including Clorox and Kraft. Schrader has proven successful in harnessing the power of strategic partnerships and grassroots action to help clients achieve their health and well-being goals.
Meanwhile, her experience with integrated planning, including advertising, consumer promotions, and interactive, enables her to maintain cohesion in all executive campaigns on which she works. Colleagues marvel at her ability to build on existing work with clients and generate more. She has led her more than 20-strong team through five straight years of growth, almost exclusively from existing clients, as well as those who have left positions to join new companies but have chosen to continue working with Schrader.
The loyalty of Schrader’s clients, who describe her as "invaluable," is testament to the fantastic service she provides, says Nick Ragone, partner and director of Ketchum, Washington, DC.
"Leslie provides exceptional and innovative client service that sets her apart from others in our field. We are proud to have her as a leader at Ketchum."
"Leslie doesn’t stop at some boundary known as PR," adds Mary O’Connell, director of marketing and PR at The Clorox Company. "Instead, she inhabits a borderless world of smart, strategic thinking that spans disciplines, decisions, and dimensions."
