Dani Dudeck has built a career by connecting people. At just 31, she is head of global communications for San Francisco-based social game designer Zynga, best known for hugely popular titles such as FarmVille and WordsWith Friends. Dudeck leads a 15-strong team and her key responsibilities include directing media relations for the Zynga brand and CEO Mark Pincus, plus internal communications and events.
Her achievements range from promoting a partnership with Lady Gaga to orchestrating the communications strategy for Zynga’s $1 billion stock market launch. Dudeck has generated a number of highprofile media placements, including multiple cover stories. She also organized Zynga’s first press conference, Unleashed, which was attended by more than 100 reporters and 10 broadcast crews. That press conference generated more than 120 original articles, 39 broadcast clips,and more than 8,600 tweets.
Before Zynga, Dudeck was VP of global corporate communications at pioneering social networking site Myspace, where she managed an in-house team, as well as agencies in Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific. She was previously account supervisor for Myspace within Edelman’s digital entertainment and technology practice. Dudeck started her career at Hill & Knowlton and Cohn & Wolfe, where she oversaw campaigns for such brands as Yahoo, Motorola,and Hewlett-Packard.
Colleagues say her passion for PR shines through and her achievements are matched by her skills as a leader and mentor.
