MHP's heads of corporate and public affairs are leaving as the agency integrates the two disciplines into a single team led by Jonathan Lomax.

Mark Cater, head of corporate, will leave the company at the end of the year and Fiona Holroyde, formerly head of public affairs, is not returning from maternity leave.

Lomax, formerly the agency’s chief operating officer, will lead the new 55-strong corporate affairs team.

MHP, which announced yesterday that it had been reappointed by Huawei Technologies to provide public affairs support, said it was continuing to win clients and that the decision to integrate its teams was not financial.

MHP’s chief executive Gavin Devine said the change was in response to client needs.

"It is clear that clients these days do not want to buy a siloed offer; instead they want us to deliver a joined-up solution to the complex communications challenges they face," he said.

"It simply makes sense to integrate the two practices to form one very strong team, incorporating Brussels and Edinburgh as well."
