In the delicate world of healthcare communications, Nicole Mraz has mastered the art of translating complex issues into innovative and effective campaigns.
During her 15-year career in healthcare, she has designed and managed hundreds of successful, award-winning communications programs for clients across 46 states.
Mraz has worked for firms including Ogilvy Public Relations and Porter Novelli as a senior account executive, where she counseled Fortune 500 companies such as Pfizer, building brand awareness for its blockbuster drug Viagra.
She went on to work for Davies Public Affairs in Santa Barbara, California, and in 2009, Mraz helped launch ReviveHealth, an integrated healthcare communications firm that scooped Small Agency of the Year honors at the 2014 PRWeek Awards.
A company shareholder, she served as VP in the firm’s issues and crisis group, leading an account team before being promoted to SVP in 2013. Mraz now leads the issues and crisis group and serves as the senior counselor and chief strategist.
She oversees three teams made up of nine employees and manages more than 60% of the firm’s revenue.
Her work centers around high-profile managed care contracting, labor relations and disputes, litigation support, corporate restructuring, M&As, rebranding, and other complex issues.
A founding partner, Mraz has been key in propelling the company into an unprecedented period of growth and four consecutive years of double-digit profitability.
Under her leadership, the issues and crisis group has delivered record financial performance and gained many new clients, including industry leaders Cleveland Clinic, Tenet Healthcare, and Catholic Health Initiative, among others.
Few other PR pros have Mraz’s expertise and deep knowledge of the hospital and healthcare system, explains ReviveHealth CEO and founder Brandon Edwards.
"She is quiet, yet hilarious; humble, and a wicked smart leader," he adds. "Nicole’s hard work, commitment to the craft, and national expertise in a super-niche space deserve recognition."
