Creative, hard working, and hugely successful, Paula Keve is "never intimidated by a challenge," say colleagues.

Just a few years into her career, she was managing the distribution of a multimillion-dollar budget to arts and charitable causes for Bloomberg. During her time at the company, Keve was also responsible for media relations and launched a number of products and tools, such as the groundbreaking Bloomberg swap calculator.

In 2006, she went on to work for Bloomberg client BNP Paribas, initially taking responsibility for communications within the French bank’s equities and commodities division, before being promoted to run the marketing and communications team for the Americas.

Keve’s success in creating a more nimble team to cover product marketing, events, sponsorship, press initiatives, internal communications, and business development campaigns earned her a place on the BNP Paribas top talent program, designed to nurture the top 5% of employees.

At Dow Jones, she has transformed communications, expertly reorganizing and recruiting a stellar 15-strong team across three continents. Key achievements include developing a highly innovative internal and external communications infrastructure in which one set of content flows through all channels, which helped the organization earn a 2014 PRWeek Award for Internal Communications Campaign of the Year.

Keve has also played a key role as Dow Jones looks to change how it is perceived from a traditional publisher to a modern, ambitious media company, despite some highly challenging situations involving parent company News Corp.

• She is mother to two young children – Ruby, 6, and Eben, 3
