NASHVILLE, TN: Infiniti Americas has appointed Porsche Cars North America product communications manager Nick Twork to the newly created role of director of corporate communications, effective July 21.
Based at the company’s regional headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, Twork will report to Infiniti Americas VP Michael Bartsch, who also joined the company from Porsche Cars North America, where he was EVP and COO, last September.
Twork will focus on strengthening the brand's presence in the premium car segment and developing Infiniti’s communications strategy in the Americas. He will oversee corporate, brand, and product comms, as well as internal and lifestyle communications, and provide guidance and support to Infiniti’s businesses in Canada, Mexico, and Latin America, according to a statement.
Twork said via email that his primary goal is "to further strengthen Infiniti’s presence in the premium car market."
Twork is leaving his role at Porsche, where he oversaw product-related media in the US market, after three years.
Prior to Porsche, Twork worked at General Motors, first as manager of advanced concepts and later as director of communications for Cadillac. Previously, he was communications manager at Ford Motor Company, automotive industry analyst for PricewaterhouseCoopers and AutoPacific, and a journalist, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Infiniti said in a statement that it is planning to hire two additional staffers in its comms department. Both will report to Kyle Bazemore, senior manager of product, brand, and lifestyle communications. Bazemore will report to Twork.
