Hailo hires Brands2Life to help with Manchester launch

Taxi booking app Hailo has appointed Brands2Life to promote its launch in Manchester, only the second UK city after London to be targeted by the app.

Hailo, which confirmed the hire but declined to comment further, split with Surname & Surname last year but continues to retain Blythweigh for corporate work.

It held a pitch for the three-month project, which comes with the public spotlight on taxi apps such as Hailo and Uber as taxi drivers' associations call for greater regulation.

Uber recently hired Burson-Marsteller and benefitted from a raised profile following protests in London aimed at bringing tighter regulation to the taxi market, while Addison Lee this week handed W a newly-expanded brief
