Cass Business School PR and communications manager Miranda Thomas, who joins next month, is the most senior hire as principal consultant.

Ed Reed and Jordan Kenny have joined this week as a senior consultant and consultant respectively.

Reed was previously senior comms officer at Oxford Brookes, where he played a key role in stakeholder engagement around gaining planning permission for a £132m library and teaching building, while Kenny has worked for the University of Bolton as press and communications officer.

Communications Management MD Justin Shaw said their experience was pivotal to the agency's higher education offering, which he said made up "around 70 per cent" of its business.

Pointing to Thomas, who will advise on how to help and build their overseas profile, and Kenny's background as a journalist in Moscow and Sierra Leone, Shaw also highlighted the increasing importance of international work for the agency.

"If you look across the board the amount of income international students bring into the UK it is increasing dramatically," he said, "and part of our role is to help clients attract those students in the first place."
