NEW YORK: Andrew MacDowell has joined Connections Media as MD, leading an expansion of the firm in New York.
He joined the digital public affairs specialty firm from Edelman’s Washington office, Connections Media said in a statement. As a client-services team joins him in New York, he will lead the firm’s work developing digital strategies and managing digital properties for corporate, association, coalition, and foundation clients.
In four years at Edelman, MacDowell served as VP in the digital public affairs group of its Washington office. He worked with clients such as the American Petroleum Institute, ConocoPhillips, the National Center for Family Literacy, and Harvard Business School.
Previously, he was a manager of the client-services department of The Bivings Group in Washington and before that ran Good Screen Media, an Internet communications company. MacDowell also spent six years at Harcourt Digital Learning.
