The account will be handled by Bray Leino's b2b & corporate comms team, led by Kelly Pepworth, which has been given a remit to develop Wincaton's public profile as it pushes ahead with its growth programme in the UK and Ireland.
Pepworth will be supported by account director Rosie Park and account manager Daniel Thomas. The team will report directly to Wincanton marketing director Jon Hexter.
In addition to engaging with national business, sector and trade media and driving social media engagement, Bray Leino will work with Wincanton on the delivery of creative campaigns to engage new audiences.
"We were impressed by Bray Leino’s creative approach to b2b comms, its recognition of the effectiveness of multichannel PR and the alignment of thinking in relation to our commercial objectives and vision for the business," said Hexter. "We’re all looking forward to working together on what will certainly be a very exciting phase in Wincanton’s development."
Pepworth added: "Logistics is the lifeblood of the UK economy, and a multi-billion-pound industry in its own right. Wincanton is a major player in this sphere, consistently challenging the market with its insight and innovation. This is exactly the type of client we love to partner with and as a result we’re sure to see some really interesting campaigns emerging over the coming months."
Wincanton employs more than 15,500 staff across its 200 sites and runs more than 4,000 vehicles. Its customers include M&S, Tesco, Asda, Lafarge, Shell and BAE Systems.
